“I like working at Encompass Medical Transcription for many reasons, but I think the main reason is the friendliness of all the staff! The staff at Encompass is very helpful and friendly and has made my transition from leaving my old job and coming here very smooth. “Here is why I love my career at Encompass:
1. The very first thing is working for Tamara. I have never met a more understanding, caring, accommodating person when it comes to a boss. Tamara is very approachable whether it is a personal topic or work related. There are not many people like her around. I appreciate her very much.
2. This is a job that I love because it is an ever-changing field where you learn something new just about every single day, and I Iove that. It keeps you up to snuff with what is going on in the medical field as far as new treatments and drugs used etc.
3. I love the comfort of working out of my home. It has enabled me to be here with both of my kids, my son since he was 1 and my daughter since she was 5, and I would not want it any other way. It also allows me to be with my nonhuman kids so they can be let out during the day and so that they have someone home with them as well!! The flexibility of hours is wonderful allowing you to work around children, appointments, family functions, trips, etc.
4. I feel the benefits that Encompass offers are great. Tamara is trying hard and succeeding in keeping her benefits right at the top level, which is hard to do given the rising costs in healthcare these days. I appreciate having those offered to me and my family.”

“I love my career at Encompass - and this is why:
Honestly, there are just so many things that I love about my career with Encompass; it is difficult to know where to begin! First and foremost, I thoroughly enjoy, respect and appreciate the people I work with; my manager, my DQTCs, my DQSs, the trainers I had just over a year (!) ago - all top notch and I am blessed to have worked with each and every one of them. My team at Encompass has been just wonderful in being flexible with my schedule… I just cannot even begin to say how much it is appreciated!
Secondly, one just cannot beat working from home (or on ‘vacation,’ whichever the case may be). How many people can say that they can wear pajamas, drink scads of coffee, let the dogs out (and in, then out, then back in), and occasionally throw in a load of laundry while they are at work? I am grateful to be one of those people!
Thirdly, back to Encompass - I have learned so much in the time I have been with the company. Even though I know there are a lot of employees, my team always has time to help me with any questions I have - even the ‘temporary amnesia’ ones. I have been in this field for - gosh – more than 15 years, and Encompass has just blown me away with their training, support, and overall team feel.
Lastly, if there is any better indicator of how much I love my career at Encompass, it is this: I recruited my mother and my aunt to work with us, and there is nothing more important to me than family.”

“MY TOP 10 REASONS FOR LOVING MY CAREER AT ENCOMPASS:
10.) I don't have to buy fancy clothes to go to work each day.
9.) I save a ton of money in gas because I don't have to drive to work each day.
8.) Since I have the privilege of working at home, my kids are very well-behaved. I know what they and their friends are doing at all times both after school and during those long summer days!
7.) I never get bored during a typical work day because of the variety of work types and various dictators available to transcribe for.
6.) I personally enjoy being able to tell people that I can work in several states within a typical work day – at times in Wisconsin, then a bit in Missouri, and maybe some in Michigan – all while living in Florida and with no travel time or travel expense involved. They are really impressed, even though I think at times they don't believe me!
5.) I have actually become somewhat computer-literate, thanks to Laura. I'm beginning to keep up with her as she walks me through program-related issues on the phone, and especially when she takes over my computer screen and does the work herself via GoToMeeting! My favorite topic recently is ‘Screen Resolution Settings’ because when I speak of this particular computer option to someone, they have to ask me what the heck I'm talking about!
4.) Even though I physically work alone on a daily basis, I do not feel this to be the case. With the Editor/DQ staff available to me while I am working each day, the ability to IM or e-mail account supervisors and managers, and of course access to the Encompass web site, I feel that I really do work in a fully staffed office setting.
3.) Working for an organization as opposed to be an individual subcontractor is truly a blessing. When I need time off work to spend with family for special events, illness, or any other reasons, I know that there are others available to pick up the slack for me. In turn, when those others need time off for themselves, I can't wait to jump in and help out.
2.) Even though I have never met any of the people that I work for, or along with, I do feel like I know them personally and can consider them all my true friends, simply because of the great communication system which Encompass has in place.
AND LAST BUT ABSOLUTELY NOT LEAST . . .
